The "Evolution/Revolution"
Poster created for Superior Printing in Warren, Ohio was done way back
in 1993, but I must include it for sentimental reasons. It was the recipient
of our first major industry award -- the Printing Industries of America
International Award of Excellence as
1993's best example of Digital Imaging.
While the work looks very simple by today's standards,
in 1993 desktop digital imaging was still in its infancy, and computers were
much, much slower. The poster itself
is 18" x 36", and prints in eight colors - four process, two metallics
and two varnish. It was designed to showcase Superior Printing's new eight
color offset presses and demonstrate the company's ability to accept desktop
files for high-quality output.
